Upon doing my first SiP presentation (Sip #1 Ian D Fleming) where I very definitively outlined my intention of creating a formal proposal for my intended Staff Film Project, I was a little sideswiped (to day the least) to be advised by tutors and peers that the scale and scope of what I was proposing as my SiP research was way to much, too complex and unfeasible, especially in the context of workload! However, this was at the same time quite a relief. To be advised that I really could strip this back to what will now serve as primary research for my bigger, full proposal next year had to be absorbed, but then acted upon. Hence, I will now sharply focus my research on finding out how staff colleagues feel about my perceived lack of opportunity for practice in terms of filmmaking / screenwork creation practice for Screen School tutors.
